This website is owned and operated by Charlotte Marie Designs, and powered by Wix. The Terms and Conditions under which you may use our website and services are as listed. By accessing our website and services you approve that you have thoroughly read, and agree to our terms and conditions, and are thereby bound to that agreement.
We reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, we advise that you review these pages for any updates periodically, as by accessing our website you are accepting our current version of the Terms and Conditions.
Cookies
Wix uses cookies to ensure that a great experience is provided for our visitors, as well as ensuring that the platform is safe and secure for all users. We can only view a general location from anonymous users, no other personal information is used, other than whether the user was using a laptop or a mobile to view the site. This information is useful however to monitor and analyze the website's performance, and the performance of marketing campaigns.
Postage & Packaging
We include a tracked delivery service with all our orders to ensure parcels are delivered safely and promptly to our customers. As we sell luxury silk scarves we felt the tracked delivery service was best suited to the value of our products.
We have selected the Royal Mail delivery services for our international shipping with tracked and signed shipping services that include compensation should anything happen to the package. We care about the environment, therefore, we have tried to minimise our use of packaging materials. Our silk scarves are wrapped in recycled tissue paper and packaged in a 100% recycled luxury grey gift box with a small duck egg blue sticker. We then proceed to parcel off your gift box in an eco-friendly cardboard box secured with paper tape, also secured with paper tape. Our cushions are wrapped in recycled tissue paper and delivered in eco-friendly boxes. You will also receive a small thank you card with your order. We will also send your invoice via email after your order has been processed.
General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if we suspect suspicious behaviour. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of our services. If any retailers or companies wish to work with us they may contact us via email for information.

We welcome all customers although, in order to use our website, you must be the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement.

When purchasing our products, you agree that: you are responsible for reading the information listed on our product pages before committing to purchase and entering a legally binding contract.

The prices we charge for our products are listed on our website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time.
Placing an Order
When you place an order you are agreeing to buy the product at the price stated at that current time. After you have placed your order we will send you an email to confirm that we have received it. We will keep you informed with dispatch and delivery information. Customer satisfaction is important to us therefore please email us if you have any enquires.
All orders are subject to our own security and credit card verification procedures. If there is any problem with the verification of your card details we will notify you via email. Charlotte Marie Designs reserves the right to withhold any order that has failed to be verified.
Return & Refund Policy

If you request a cancellation you must do so within 2 hours after purchase. Please contact us via email.​

We hope you’re happy with your order, however, if you wish to return goods, you must contact us via email. Our returns policy lasts 14 days after the item has been delivered. Goods must be returned unused and unworn. All items are quality checked before shipping, therefore items that are returned damaged, used or stained cannot be refunded. All goods must be returned in their original manner in their gift box. However, if you are unable to use the postal box it arrived in please ensure you package the item with sufficient packaging, to avoid any damage. You are responsible for the safe return of the goods, therefore, we recommend you use a trusted recorded delivery service. We will refund the item in full, however, you will be responsible for return shipping costs. We cannot be held responsible for any undelivered returns.

If in the unlikely event that the product is faulty or damaged, we will either replace the product or issue you a full refund. The customer is able to choose which option suits them best whether they receive a replacement or refund. However, this is dependent on the damage itself as stated above.

We will issue your refund once the item has been returned to our studio in its original condition. Please allow up to 10-15 days for a full refund. We will contact you if there are any problems or delays with services.
Disclaimer

We aim to produce high quality printed fabrics. Weave irregularities and variations in the fibres are not considered defects. Due to silk being a natural fibre, the characteristics of the fabric will also be natural and organic. Therefore slight shrinkage can sometimes occur. Although this minor effect is often avoided.
Personal Information
Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not store any credit card details, nor do we share any details or information regarding our customers with any 3rd parties.
Our website Charlotte Marie Designs is hosted by the website provider Wix. Stripe is installed on our website to enable us to operate as an online store. Wix provides us with an online e-commerce platform to sell our products to our customers. The data that you provide us is stored through Wix’s data storage and databases. Data is stored by Wix through a secure server behind a firewall. We also have our own security systems in place. If you want any more information regarding Wix’s policies we suggest you read their Terms of Services or Privacy Statement.
When you purchase products from our store, you are required to allow us to collect personal information such as; name, address and email. By providing us with your personal information and credit card details, we imply that you consent to us collecting that information for that specific reason only. We will not use any of your information for any other purposes, such as promotional emails or marketing we will only use your email address to contact you specifically about your order or to reply back to you.

All payments go directly to the sole owner of Charlotte Marie Designs, on payment the designer's name Charlotte Marie including surname will be included on your statement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ‘Charlotte Marie Designs’ be liable or responsible for any indirect, incidental, punitive, consequential or exemplary damages. Including without limitation, damages to loss of profits, goodwill, data, use or any other intangible losses relating to the use of or inability to use, the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ‘Charlotte Marie Designs’ be liable or responsible for any mistakes or accidents, inaccuracies of content, use of products or webpages, personal injury of any severity including death, or property damage, of any nature whatsoever.

We are not responsible for anything resulting from your access to or from the use of our services, or any unauthorised access to our secure services and/ or any and all personal information stored therein.
Charlotte Marie Designs shall have no liability to pay any money by the way of compensation.
